Xmas With Your Family: Awesome or Garbage?

It’s not necessarily Cincinnati-related, but it’s on pretty much everyone’s mind in some way or another–spending time (or having to spend time, which is significantly different) with your family around the Xmas holiday. Some love it, some hate it. Some are grateful for the time off. Some just wanna spend time with the kids. No matter the situation, it’s almost guaranteed you’re gonna be driving all over damned creation.

Pros:

  • Family
  • Friends
  • PRESENTS, CHUMPS.

Cons:

  • Travel/traffic/blecch.
  • Maybe your family isn’t so hot.

Ultrasound Jesus Billboards: Sinful or Divine?

Just like Starship’s city built on rock and roll, we find ourselves knee deep in the hooplah over some billboards popping up here in river city.

You’ve just gotten a glimpse into Mother Mary’s birth canal.  How does that make you feel?

Right to Life put these up, but they say it’s not anti-abortion.  And they say it’s not about “Christmas” versus “Happy Holidays.”  They say it’s about Jesus sanctifying the birth process and Christmas is Jesus’ message of love for everyone.

Which doesn’t make any sense if you were to quickly look at this like you would, say, a billboard.

Jesus needs a better ad agency.

Pros

  • They got people talking, which is the whole point.
  • It’s a good plug for prenatal care.  Get an ultrasound and find out if you’re having the Lord!
  • Ultrasound also took the guess work out of what color to paint the manger.

Cons
